The Three Circle Walk in Sonian Forest (in English)
The Sonian Forest is known for its majestic trees, but there is much more to discover beneath their branches. This walk takes us through a quieter and less familiar part of the forest, crossing from the Brussels-Capital Region into Flanders. Along the way, we will encounter three very different circles, each with its own story and each offering a glimpse into the relationship between people, memory and the forest. Who are these circles for? What do they commemorate? And what can they tell us about the people who lived, worked and lost their lives in and around the forest? With time to stop, observe and share stories along the way, this is a walk through nature with a little history, culture and human memory thrown in.

3:30 PM Return to the starting point. Those who wish can take public transport from the Tram 8 which is also the starting point of the walk.
Please arrive promptly out of respect for other participants. There will be no waiting time longer than the 15 minutes specified in the program.

Difficulty: EASY
A circular walk in the forest, lasting less than two hours on marked and well-trodden trails. The area is protected by the European Natura 2000 network. Stops are planned for flora and fauna observation.
Equipment: Hiking shoes are recommended, but good outdoor shoes are also sufficient. Not suitable for people with limited mobility. Suitable for children over 8. Bring water in your backpack. Pets are not permitted.

€25 per person. Children under 12 pay €15. The fee includes the guided walk and liability insurance. The guide, Florence Berteletti, has completed the first year of the Centre de Formation pour Accompagnateurs en Randonnée (CFAR) programme, including the technical and practical examinations.
Payment is made on site before the start of the activity.
In the event of bad weather or if the minimum number of participants is not reached, the Guide reserves the right to cancel the walk or modify the route. In the event of cancellation, we will send an email by 4:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled walk. Therefore, when making your reservation, please make sure to enter your email address correctly.
